98. Describe your day.

This is one that you get to make up yourself, so I decided to describe my day. This morning was pretty mundane, but once I got to my Spanish class, the day got much more interesting.

This morning I drove to school surprisingly not a lot of traffic again today. I was practicing my oral presentation and driving. I know not the safest thing to be doing while driving, but I was not reading just talking to myself. I must have looked crazy because a guy was starring at me from his truck. Anywho, I get to my first class take notes, I did not chat to O.C. this morning so be proud! I focused on my work, no offense O.C. There was a lot of chit chat in class today, more than usual. I hate chit chatty girls! Punch them in the face!

I get to my Spanish class and I am pumped and ready to give my presentation, but no, we have to take our reading quizzes first, oops, did not read those, was too busy practicing and re practicing my oral. So, we take the quizzes, I bomb them, and I am the first to give my presentation. Not a good idea. I freaked, completely freaked! I lost my words, started crying, yes crying and ran out of the room. What made it all worse was as I was running for the door, people were shouting behind me "good job" "you were doing well", I appreciate that but it made it worse. A girl from my class came to comfort me in the ladies room, thank you to her. I sucked it up and went back to class, splotchy on my face and chest. I was the second to last to go this time. I did well ish, I made it through but lost half of my presentation. It was better than nothing. I really need to work on my conversational Spanish, good thing I have D.A. and N.V. and F.M. and H.M. to help with that.

After class I participated in a research study for extra points in my psych class. It was interesting, but the guy giving the study was creepy. He was flirting with me. Ew!

Then I came home. TADA!

30. Play with your food.

I do appologize for my absence. I have been super busy in summer school, it is my own fault, I am a procrastinator. I am now caught up and have returned for the last of these fun Ideas. I am meant to stay on campus for a research project i volunteered for. I had to be here at 9 am to do the first part of the study and need to be back here at 9 pm for the second part, no sleep in between. So I decided to stay on campus and leave my library blanket at home as to not tempt myself with a nap. I am not allowed caffine either. That part wont be so hard I usually only drink water anyway. I left campus after my last class to go to Urban Outiftters to look around, bought two shirts, naughty me and I am debating going back an awesome dress. All on sale obviously, times are hard. I shouldn't have even left campus , just a waste of gas, but all the food places were closed and I am saving my packed lunch for dinner. Did not think to bring enough for 3 meals today. On my way back with my fun shirts in tow, I stopped off at Chipotle for a burrito bowl, mmmm yummy. I ate half of it the other have is still sittin gnext to me, still good to eat... I hope, except that I made shapes and fun designs out of it. I will not take or post pictures because that last time I did that SOMEONE made a comment about it here, I understand where she was coming from so I will not post it again, but I must say that the outcome was quit impressive, if I do say so myself. It displayed my "teacher art" talent, as my brother likes to refer to it. Instead I will post some pics of somethings that I have created and that you can purchase here. Or not, it will not allow me to upload images so just check them out here!

27. Read a story out loud to a friend.

I read Peter Rabbit out loud to myself. I am my friend. I can do that. I love children books. Especially ones I grew up reading or listening to myself. There is one book I read over and over and over. I still remember what I believe to be the first line in the book. I have no idea the title, the author anything, I can not find it anywhere. No one seems to know what I am talking about. I should look it up on Google again. I will do that now, hold on one second... still can not find it. Let me tell you what it is about, maybe you know...

There is a farmer and his wife, they grow turnips, only turnips, they are tired of eating turnips. They have some neighbors or new neighbors who make... cheese? Well the farmers wife knits socks and trades them for the .... cheese that they make? In the end the neighbors wife has made something out of the socks because she doesn't really need that many socks. I think she made sweaters for the farer and his wife... I think. TADA! Know? please let me know!

25. Read a book in one day

I re-read The Bell Jar today. Was awesome. I was supposed to be doing my homework or reading for school, but I had to do my blog right?! I love re-reading books, you find so many things you may have missed the first, second or third time you read the book. It may not be that you missed it, but maybe it was a detail that did not stick in your memory. I re-read all the books I love at least once a year. OK only once a year, no more, I have to make room for new books. I recommend you read The Bell Jar if you have not already done so. Once you read it you can give it a review on this website, you can review ALL the books you read, make lists of ones you wish to read and ones you are reading now. Add me as your friend when you do!

7. expose yourself to a new artist, describe what moves you about it.

So I am not exactly exposing my self to a new artist. This is one I have known about for awhile. I saw his video on youtube. I saw his book at Urban Outfitters, my friend did a report on him for school. This guy is wonderfully interesting. His art is amazing. So instead of exposing myself to a new, as I do most every day, I am hopefully exposing you to a new artist, or bringing him back into your memory.

One of his famous works is on the side of a building in Brighton, England. I saw it with my own two eyes. We were on our way back to the train station after spending much needed time with our cousins. We were headed back to  Horsham to leave for America the next day. My cousin asked me if I knew who Banksy was, I said yes and she said well there is one of his most famous works. It was amazing, rumor is the city wanted to wash it away but the Bobbies  (police) wanted to keep it up, so it is now protected by plexi glass! The work is of two Bobbies embracing and kissing.

Also, in Brighton, they give graffiti artists walls to express themselves. I took loads of pictures of them but cannot seem to locate them. My brother is going to check his computer, if he has them then I will def post them!

97. Random

Number 97 is one where I can choose any topic, so I decided to do a Mariamism for you all. I ordered some more awesome shirts from threadless and today I am wearing one. This is not just any shirt. This shirt is magic! Yes you read correctly, MAGIC!!!! I love this shirt because it seems plain Jane and boring but when you step out into the glorious sun (the sun which feeds plants and our bodies, it magically changes our skin too (but you might want to be careful with that and use sunscreen), the magical thing that lights up our days and reflects on our nights, the huge ball of awesome that changes our view of things and allows us to see the world in all its glory), it changes. A monster magically appears, well, I guess not monster it is the little girls imaginary friend. This shirt is magic and puts a huge smile on my face just as my rain boots do, those marvelous things which turn any rainy, grey day into something mystical and exciting, because I can walk through puddles, now that is extraordinary! I will get pics of me wearing the shirt soon!

False Alarm...

I did not have to send my comp away for repair, they just wiped it clean and I am starting all over. I will have to send it away later for the plastic repair on the keyboard area and the microphone. I will resume my original blog tomorrow after my spanish exam. I spent most of yesterday evening at Apple so I did not have time to study, hence me doing it now and tonight and tomorrow morning before class.
